DESCRIPTION:COURSE DESCRIPTION: \nThe 2025 Energy Conservation Construction Code of New York State (2025 ECCCNYS) has officially been adopted and is effective for new buildings starting on December 31\, 2025. This course will provide an overview of the major prescriptive changes between the residential provisions of the 2020 ECCCNYS and the 2025 ECCCNYS. Part 1 will review the changes in the requirements for the building thermal envelope and mechanical systems. \nLEARNING OBJECTIVES: \n1. Determine which provisions of the 2025 ECCCNYS apply to projects following the prescriptive\, simulated building performance\, and energy rating index pathway. \n2. Point out the major differences between the 2020 ECCCNYS and the 2025 ECCCNYS for the thermal envelope\, mechanical systems and lighting. \n3. Determine the applicable code section for each building component. \n4.
