The Northeast Home Energy Rating System (NEHERS) Alliance has named Cindy Zeis Vice President of the Board of Directors. NEHERS is a non-profit alliance of Home Energy Rating Professionals providing training, professional development, and resources to the HERS community. Cindy will support the Alliance to enhance training opportunities, improve HERS program effectiveness, and develop strategic partnerships within the industry both regionally and nationally.
Cindy has a diverse background including Energy Efficient Construction, Affordable Housing, Disaster Recovery, Continuing Education, and is a Military Veteran. Relevant certifications are: Certified HERS Rater, RESNET Quality Assurance Designee, RESNET Instructor, and ACCA Residential System Design. She currently fills the role of Manager of Provider Services and Primary QAD for Performance Systems Development, a national RESNET Rating/Training Provider and Consulting firm. Cindy’s background is backed by a thirst for knowledge and a desire to analyze and improve systems. She’s worked the business end of both the wrench and the hammer and believes that decisions made in the board room are only good if they can be conveyed, understood and safely implemented by those who do the same.
Since 1998, the Alliance and its members have worked together to standardize and increase home energy ratings (HERS), and promote energy mortgages (EM’s), and ENERGY STAR Homes throughout the region. If you’re looking for more detail about NEHERS priorities, visit https://www.nehers.org/.
